Hello and welcome to Made with Local! We're so glad you're here. Our journey started by bringing homemade granola bars to a a small farmer's market table, but we've since grown into a Certified B-Corp snack company available in thousands of locations across Canada and the US. Throughout our growth, we've remained dedicated to using ethically, transparently sourced ingredients, strengthening our local community, and prioritizing real, nourishing foods.
As a B-Corp certified company, we're laser-focused on creating a positive impact on our community and the planet.
Working out of rural Nova Scotia has meant we’ve always had a strong connection to local farmers & food producers. This is why when we sourced our ingredients, we got the whole community involved – there is Tom Cosman, our honey supplier providing the delicious honey for our bars, there is David and Evelyn Ernst our cranberry farmers, and our friends at Nuts to You nut butters and VanDyk’s Blueberries who provide nut butters and superfood berries. Proof that good food comes close to home!
At Made with Local, our mission is to create the most delicious, nourishing foods possible. We believe that these foods should be good not only for you, but also for our community and the planet. Thank you for choosing Made with Local and supporting our values. We hope you enjoy our snacks as much as we enjoy making them!
Our B-Corp Certification is our North Star – it guides us to provide positive social and environmental impact as more people fall in love with our foods and our business grows!
We believe that when done right – business can and should be used as a force for good in our world.
At Made with Local, we like to think of ourselves as an impact-machine, using our power as a force for good. We know that every little decision we make has the potential to shape the future for the better. As a Certified B Corp, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of sustainability and social responsibility, and B Corp's third party assessements keep us in check across five key pillars: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. All of this is to make sure we're creating foods that are not only delicious and nourishing, but also do good in the world. It's a win-win-win situation: good for you, good for the planet, and good for your community.
