Our Farmers

Supporting Canadian farmers for over a decade

Bay State Milling

Regenerative Organic Oats

Every single one of our foods start with a base of nourishing and sustainable organic oats, grown by a collective of farmers in the Canadian prairies. Bay State Millers are a family-owned and operating milling company with a mission to create a better, more sustainable food system. They have partnered with an organization called Canadian Organic Growers in pursuit of transitioning thousands of acres of farmland to be farmed with regenerative organic practices. So what does regenerative organic agriculture even mean? At its core, regenerative agriculture is the process of restoring degraded soils using management practices (e.g., adaptive grazing, no-till planting, no use of synthetic pesticides and synthetic fertilizer, etc.) based on ecological principles. We’re proud to be one of just a handful of Canadian companies who prioritize the use of these exceptionally delicious and nourishing oats.

Dutchman's Gold

Organic Canadian Honey

Our Real Food Bars and Protein Nut Butter Cookies are sweetened with Canadian-grown, organic honey. We source from a group of family-owned apiaries across Canada, including the Ysseldyks in Ontario, the Wolfe family in northern Alberta, McKenzie’s Family Farm in southern Alberta. Organic honey is a thoughtfully chosen ingredient that brings more than just sweetness. Naturally rich in antioxidants and bioactive compounds, honey retains elements that are lost in highly refined sugars. With minimal processing and a naturally balanced sugar profile, organic honey offers greater complexity and aligns with our commitment to clean ingredients, Canadian sourcing, and supporting healthy ecosystems and pollinators.

Barbours

Organic Nut Butter

Organic nut butters bring deliciousness and creaminess to our recipes – and although Canada does not have the climate to grow organic peanuts or tree nuts at scale, there are some amazing family-owned companies here that make exceptional quality nut butters. Barbour’s is a multi-generational nut butter manufacturer based in Sussex, New Brunswick who’ve been making their products in the Maritimes since the 1950s.

Nuts to You

Organic Nut Butter

Nuts to You is an independently owned nut butter manufacturer in southern Ontario, who are well-known for creating premium, organic nut butters that you can find in all our products, and on thousands of retailer shelves across Canada.

Roquette

Organic Pea Protein

When we set off to create a high-protein snack that aligned with our ingredients and deliciousness ethos, it was our highest priority to source a plant-based protein made with Canadian grown ingredients. Roquette is based in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, and produces exceptionally high-quality organic pea protein powder made from Canadian-grown, organic peas. We love this ingredient for its high protein content, sustainability benefits to farmed soil, and its neutral flavour – no chalky protein snacks here or nasty aftertastes.

Van Dyk’s

Wild Blueberries

Being a Nova Scotia-based brand, it’s a no-brainer for us to showcase some of the world’s best wild blueberries in our snacks. Our Blueberry Almond Butter bar is made using dried wild blueberries grown right here in Nova Scotia, by the Van Dyks. They’re a multi-generational family farm and their wild blueberries are renowned across the world for their nutritional density and incredible, rich blueberry flavour.

Camino

Organic Dark Chocolate and Cocoa

Since when do cocoa trees grow in Canada? Well, they sure don’t. But knowing that so many of us *love* a little (or a lot!), It was important to us to source organic chocolate and cocoa from companies that align with our values. Camino La Siembra is a worker-owned co-op based in Ottawa, and are renowned for their commitment to fostering a more resilient, fairer food chocolate industry. Find their decadent dark chocolate chips and cocoa in so many of our products – we're confident you’ll fall in love with their exceptional quality chocolate and cocoa.
