BAR MIX RECIPE - Raw Cocoa Energy Balls!
We've been loving our Sunday afternoon routine lately, my little girl and I have been taking a little time out of our day to prepare snacks for the week ahead. Our Original Goodness Real Food Bar MIX is the current fave - the perfect template for a million different kinds of nourishing bars! Or, as we discovered this week, freakin' delicious ENERGY BALLS!
The chocolate cravings are real in my house lately and when the inspiration struck me to add some lovely, rich cocoa powder to our OG Bar Mix, I knew I was on to something. The dark chocolatey-ness goes so perfectly with the crisp pumpkin seeds and hearty oats.
These easy treats can be made nut-free if you choose a school-safe seed/soynut butter and will be the star of your little one's lunchbox!
1 small bag (or 3 cups) Granola Bar Mix
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup nut OR seed butter
1/3 cup honey
1) In a medium sized bowl, combine Real Food Bar MIX and cocoa powder.
2) In a separate bowl, mix wet ingredients (nut/seed butter and honey) until really well incorporated. Add dry ingredients to wet, and get in there with your hands!
3)Send all kinds of love and positive vibes down into these tasty little treats and the dough will eventually begin to come together.
4) With clean hands, form into balls (we got about 16 balls) and refrigerate in an air-tight container.
