Made with Local Cranberry Choco-Chunk Real Food Bar mix, made using almond butter and honey, prepare as directed, leave unbaked and continue with steps below.
2 cups dates, pitted
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
Juice and zest of 1 orange
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp baking soda
Bring all ingredients excluding baking soda to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5-7 minutes until cranberries begin to burst and dates are softened. Remove from heat, add in baking soda, mash together. Allow to cool, pour and spread over base.
1 1/2 cups Made with Local Cranberry Maple Spice Loaded Oats
1/2 cup flour substitute (I used banana flour)
3 tbsp of honey
Pinch of salt
1 Tbsp cinnamon
3/4-1 cup solid coconut oil, melted
Mix ingredients together, using enough oil to reach a crumbly but slightly wet mixture. Crumble over top of filling.
Bake at 325' for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and set. Allow to cool, remove from pan and cut into squares. Enjoy!
